As a General Service Technician or Mechanic, you’ll play a key role in supporting vehicle performance and delivering a positive service experience to our guests.
Qualifications
Comfortable with the physical activities involved in this role
Able to perform the tasks associated with vehicle maintenance and repair
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- A valid driver’s license (Texas or out-of-state accepted)
- Certifications welcome — especially ASE, EPA 609, OEM training, DTC, and more.
- We have entry-level opportunities too — a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
- Available to work during regular business hours, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
(Please note: While the shop is closed to the public on Sat-Sun, our team works daily to keep the shop running and the work flowing)
Key Role Responsibilities
Perform vehicle maintenance and repair services, such as oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, suspension alignments, and other routine tasks
Work collaboratively with team members to efficiently address customer concerns and vehicle issues
Conduct complete and accurate courtesy inspections, ensuring transparency and integrity in reporting
Complete vehicle state inspections in compliance with all applicable requirements
Maintain clear and detailed preventive maintenance documentation
Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials and OSHA safety standards
Support shop cleanliness and organization, including general housekeeping tasks as assigned by management
Communicate promptly and clearly with the service department regarding any observed vehicle issues, safety concerns, or potential damage
Uphold the company’s commitment to a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all times
Physical Expectations for This Role
The duties of this position may involve the following activities, with or without reasonable accommodation:
Occasionally lifting and/or moving items weighing 50 pounds or more
Working on vehicles that may be elevated above shoulder height
Maneuvering in tight or confined spaces, depending on the repair task
Using hand tools with consistent precision, dexterity, and control
Standing and walking for extended periods throughout the workday
Operating vehicles with manual transmissions (stick shift)
Maintaining a steady, task-focused pace in a fast-paced shop environment
Using a computer or tablet to input, track, and retrieve service and repair data
